How to Care for Your Puppy in the Winter Months

Keep them sheltered and safe from the cold.

They still need to go outside to use the restroom and get some exercise, but other than that, you shouldn't leave them out to roam on their own throughout the day. The shelter should be big enough to let them move around but should still hold in body heat to protect them from the cold. If you leave them a food and water bowl outside, opt for a plastic option. Make sure they still get some exercise.
